Spoonman Triple M – It’s all over
November 30, 2008
After years on Triple M, the Spoonman show has come to an end in what seems to have been a decision based on economical grounds. I missed the final show, and probably would have gave him a call. I’ve been listening for a few years on and off. First heard it around 3 years ago, listened for a few months about a year ago and started listening all the time in the past few months. I’m really disappointed, it kept me up to date with the latest issues and gave me another opinion to rely on. We shared reasonably the same views. If you want to find out more, go onto iTunes (as I’m fairly certain it has been taken off the Triple M website) and search ‘Spoonman’. For a g rated view download the normal podcast, or if your looking for the real views of him, download the after the farkin show podcast.
As for Triple Ms stance, I understand that you have needed to axe the show. But I also hope you know that the show has most likely saved lives. I’ve only found another talk show on FM which seems to be for older people, the show is constantly asking for callers to call in, obviously because they are old and they are sleeping. I’d just like you to know, you guys have made a pretty big mistake. Screw the f*cking breakfast shows, they are really poor.
Keep us updated on Myspace or whatever spoony. Thanks for the great times.

I stopped listening after the irwin debacle but his music really, really annoyed me. He’d talk about how great the cure were then have pink sing some rubbish straight after. Oh and he also said panic at the disco ‘weren’t bad’… shame

Somehow I seem to think you are older and not opinionated. No offence though, but the Irwin incident was just him being opinionated, he apologised for it too, but seriously? In this country we have a right to free speech, and his comments on the topic in my opinion weren’t too over the top.

the spoonman was awesome. the new triple m is horrible. the music is hideous. katie perry? what the… that’s not rock and roll. rock and roll has died on that station. it is no longer my favourite radio station.
come back spoonman.
